The Niagara College Business Development Centre is a delivery agent for funded programs that help individuals who are currently unemployed with marketable skills or a viable business idea, get their careers back on track through self employment.

The programs offered provide qualified participants with expert advice and direction as they learn essential business practices, develop a Business Plan and begin operation of their new business with a qualified business advisor.

Our Services

As a client participating in one of our self employment programs, the Business Development Centre offers a variety of  business-related resources along with training, coaching and networking opportunities through our experienced staff that position you to succeed as a new business owner.

Business Basics provides you with step by step training in business development and planning. Our experienced team of instructors take you through every aspect of business planning to minimize risk and maximize performance as you move forward prior to start-up.

Our Newest Clients

We have assisted with the start-up of over 2000 businesses since 1992.  The clients  we work with on our Funded Programs participate in Business Basics to develop business skills and write their Business Plan.

With their Business Plan complete and their business goals mapped out, they then meet with a member of our Business Advisor team during the critical first months of operation to help ensure they implement policies and best practices to stimulate their growth, monitoring their progress and offering ideas.
